I stayed here the night before running a trail race at Unicoi State Park and was pleased with the accomodations. It's no luxury stay, but it was comfortable and the check-in/out process was smooth as butter.
We booked a vrbo for the weekend and after arrival, found that it would not work. We came here as it showed vacancy. After arrival, the guest counter receptionist was very kind. He was patient with us ladies and explained the cost breakdown, room location, ice machine and more. As we entered the room, it was clean, spacious and just what we needed minus the hot tub. That is the only thing that would have made it great. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels and enough room for us to walk around with it being in the way of each other. The fridge was clean and the chair was a nice feature. Moved it by the bench to out my feet up. Located right in town where everything is within walking distance. Would visit again.
Room clean, but really needs updated. No usb plugs, furniture needs updated ( our lamp shade looked like it had a fight with something) no ice makers around, issues with room keys. But service was great, they tried hard to accommodate the issues. Will come back when in the area
Not sure why this place has low rating. Room was clean , check in /out was quick and easy. Actually nicer then the room i paid double for the night before. Unsure about the breakfast as we eat out. Had a room with a balcony and jacuzzi at a great price
The overall experience was great the only issues we encountered were: the sink and tub drained very slowly. The toilet you had to hold the handle to get it to flush. It is located on the south end of the strip so it's within walking distance of everything. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Read some reviews that were a little worrisome but everything was completely opposite of the bad reviews. We stayed on the second floor and the room was clean, bathroom was clean and overall was just a good place to stay with a great location. Would stay again.
We stayed at Baymont by Wyndham Helen and rented two rooms. For the price, the place wasn’t bad at all. The location is very good — everything is close by, including restaurants, shops, and attractions, which made getting around really easy. The rooms were decent and met our basic needs for the stay. The only downside for us was the mattresses; they were very soft and not very comfortable. Other than that, it was a reasonable option for the price and a convenient place to stay in Helen.
Made a last minute trip to see Christmas lights and stayed here years back aswell. It’s definitely not a 5 star hotel but is decent. Toilet was clean, beds made nice and were clean. Room had an overwhelming smell of a fragrant cleaner they use but overall it’s a decent place. Could definitely use some deep cleaning or even just a thorough dusting but over all I’d definitely stay again when we come back to Helen.
